— For Patients
The waiting room
is dead.
Your recovery, on your schedule. Recovering from injury shouldn't mean waiting rooms, missed appointments, and guesswork. MotionSleeve lets you rehab at home — with your care team ready to assist when needed.
— How it works
Four steps. That's it.
01
Receive your device
A welcome box arrives with your MotionSleeve, a charging cable, and a quick-start guide. Download the app (iOS or Android) and you are ready to get started.
02
Pair it with your phone
Wrap on the MotionSleeve — it goes on like an ACE bandage. The upper band is designed for one-handed application, so most people can put it on without help. Then connect to your phone over Bluetooth.
03
Exercise on your own time
Wear your sleeve and follow along in the app during the exercises prescribed by your care team. Every rep and every set is counted automatically.
04
Your care team monitors your progress
They can adjust your plan based on how you are recovering.
— FAQ
What patients are asking.
What exactly is a MotionSleeve?
+
An upper and lower sensor pack connected by a flexible strap, secured to your arm or leg by two adjustable elastic wraps — like an ACE bandage. You wear it during your prescribed exercises, and the sensors measure how your joint moves, every rep, every session. Your care team sees the data.
Why a sleeve?
+
Because the easier rehab is, the more you actually do. The MotionSleeve goes on like an ACE bandage and works wherever you are — sitting at the table, on the couch, in bed, or standing in the kitchen. No camera to set up in front of. Just put it on and follow the app.
Is it easy to use?
+
Yes. Setup takes just a few minutes. The app guides you through each exercise. If you ever get stuck, OpenMotion support is standing by — chat, call, or email.
What about privacy?
+
The sleeve measures motion — not pictures or video of you. Each session is saved as your avatar's movements — a digital twin that mirrors yours — so your care team can replay it to see your progress or spot where you might need help. Your data is encrypted when it's sent and when it's stored, and protected by HIPAA — the same rules that protect your medical records.
How will my doctor know if I am doing well or if I need help?
+
Your care team can review every session on their dashboard, even between visits. If they see something that needs attention, they can reach out. Medical decisions are always made by your care team.
Does AI make decisions about my care?
+
No. AI helps your care team spot patterns in your recovery data — like if you're moving differently than expected — so they can reach out at the right moment. All decisions about your treatment are made by your care team, not by AI.
